COVID 19: Park Closure Update

Hi all, we hope you are keeping well and safe in these challenging times. A quick update from us following Sunday’s update by the UK government it gave us a better scope on when we may open. A few key quotes from the governments document relating to us has been picked upon as followed:

‘There are no restrictions on how far you can travel to get to the countryside. However, you CANNOT visit and stay overnight at a holiday home or second home.’

STEP 1 – 13 May:

‘All workers who cannot work from home should travel to work if their workplace is open. Sectors of the economy that are allowed to be open should be open … The only exceptions to this are those workplaces such as hospitality … which during this first step the Government is requiring to remain CLOSED.’ (page 25)

STEP 2 – 1 June:

‘…sectors that are currently closed, including hospitality … are NOT able to re-open at this point because the risk of transmission in these environments is higher. …’ (page 30)

STEP 3 – 4 July

‘The ambition at this step is to open at least some of the remaining businesses and premises that have been required to close, including … hospitality (such as food service providers, pubs and accommodation) … They should also meet the COVID-19 Secure guidelines. Some venues which are, by design, crowded and where it may prove difficult to enact distancing may still not be able to re-open safely at this point, or may be able to open safely only in part.

From reading the governments guidelines for the lifting of restrictions we anticipate an opening date at the start of July as long as the virus is contained and managed well.

From our side once we are given the green light we will be putting in measures to ensure your safety here on park and that will be given in more detail closer to reopening. So for now please stay at home and stay safe and we will see you all very soon.
