Retreat Recitals

Hello everyone and I hope you’ve had a lovely week. With May Day coming this Monday we look forward to seeing the park full of friendly faces as the weather looks suspiciously too good for Britain in 2018. If you are planning to come down and spend some time at the park this weekend we wish you the safest travels.

Retreat Caravan Park have had a strong relationship with the eat festival for the last few years with us sponsoring the demo stage.  The latest instalment of the road show is on the horizon with the festival coming to Taunton on 12th May. The festival will be using the picturesque Hammet Street and St Mary Magdalene church yard. They will also have street entertainment on the lawns surrounding the site with over 80 producers selling local Somerset produce. It’s a perfect day to unwind and indulge into Somerset culture.

As I mentioned earlier May Day looks to be a scorcher with temperatures expected to soar above 24 degrees. With this in mind we remind you all to stay topped up with sun cream. With the expected weather I feel it’s a perfect time to announce we will once again be running the garden competition. Cash prizes will be up for grabs with the theme this year being Wildflowers. If you read last week’s post you will be aware that the park are going for the David Bellamy wildflower badge, so as you can guess this is where the inspiration for this year’s competition has come from. To enter your garden for judging pop into the office and one of Debbie or Lucy will enter your garden.

Recently it has been brought to our unfortunate attention that Dog litter is not being picked as we would expect. As a park we pride ourselves on ensuring that everyone enjoys a clean, friendly, relaxed park and by not picking up dog waste this can affect others experience at Retreat. To combat the problem we will add an extra dog bin on Driftwood Way/Beachwalk to increase the number of dog bins on park. We thank you for your cooperation.

That’s all for this week’s Retreat recitals, we hope you all enjoy your bank holiday weekend whatever you’re up to and enjoy the sun whilst it lasts.

All the best
