The Ritz cinema in Burnham-on-Sea officially re-opened on Friday 24 September, 2004. After an extensive refurbishment. The cinema’s original art deco fitting and decoration was also restored, splitting the existing screen into 2 new screens. complete with plush new seating and computerised booking system.
On Friday 23rd October 2015, following another major refurbishment, a third screen was added. Featuring the latest projection and sound equipment, and also featuring specialist new equipment designed to assist the hard of hearing and the visually impaired.
There are two screenings each weekday evening, and four screenings at weekends when the cinema is also open in the afternoon.
