Essentials to Pack on your Summer Static Caravan Holiday

If you’re heading on your summer holidays to a static caravan this year, you may be wondering what essentials to pack. If you’re staying in the UK, the weather could be an issue, so you’ll want to ensure you pack enough clothes for both hot and cold temperatures!

We’ve put together all the essentials to help you pack for your time away, ensuring nothing gets left behind!

The Basics

Forgetting the basics on your static caravan will quickly cause chaos and Dad running out to the shops! We would recommend you remember to bring some of your own tea towels, bath towels, washing up bits and toilet roll, as these are unlikely to be supplied for you. Remember to take bed linen with you if your static caravan doesn’t already have some.

Remember to take pots, pans, cutlery, cooking utensils and crockery if you don’t already have them in your static caravan; you won’t want to be caught without these.

Food

It’s a good idea to keep some tinned food in your static caravan for the entire season, to avoid having to entirely stock up every time you go away. Many people choose to bring some fresh food bits with them on their static caravan holiday to avoid having to nip to the shops after a long day of travelling. We’d advise bringing bread, tea or coffee, milk, sandwich spreads and ready meals with you.

You can then stock up on other bits later once you have settled in, meaning you won’t have to shop immediately and can visit local markets for fresh produce.

Entertainment

We all know British weather can be very unpredictable, which can mean some forms of entertainment may be required. Whilst there will be a lot of activities in the holiday park itself and its surrounding areas, you should bring some family games, DVDs, magazines, crosswords and other things you can enjoy on a rainy day!

You should also bring some entertainment for sunny days, like bikes, bucket and spade, fishing rods, balls and frisbees, for example.

Clothing

As previously mentioned, you should bring an array of clothing with you that will suit the ever-changing English weather. Pack some sandals, wellies, swimsuits, jackets, thermals, shorts and everything in between! It’s better to bring it with you and be prepared then caught out in the rain wearing 30-degree attire.

If you’re interested in owning your own static caravan, we can help. We have several beautiful holiday homes available to purchase, all of which come with a generously spaced pitch, private garden and standard facilities at our fantastic Burnham-on-Sea location.
